Facebook offers limited community contact. You can create groups of people and share information specifically with them.
Google has hangouts for this kind of communication. The Google blog platform allows users to reach further audiences than Facebook allows its users to.
Still, the google search engine does not allow us to control what google says about us. Google has the power to create an image for us, beyond our own control.
Facebook attempts to give us control over what users can learn about us, but still struggles.
Google (to me looks like): You don't have much control over what people know about you, let us handle the image issue for you.
Facebook (to me looks like): Learn a lot about our platform, and we can help you grow.
Instagram: IMAGE IS EVERYTHING.
